Residential Batteries
Home battery storage for new and existing solar systems across Sydney and NSW.
Storage
Store More . Save More . Stay Powered.
Solar Paradigm designs and installs home battery storage for Sydney and NSW households. We assess electricity use, solar generation, tariffs and backup needs before recommending usable capacity and inverter power. We can integrate compatible batteries with existing solar or design a new solar and battery system, with options from Fox ESS, Sigenergy, GoodWe and Sungrow.
For business sites, explore our commercial battery installations and NSW commercial battery incentive guide for assessment and eligibility information.
How do I choose a home battery size?
We consider your surplus solar, evening electricity use and backup priorities. Usable capacity determines stored energy; power output affects which appliances can run together.
Can I add a battery to existing solar?
Often, yes. Compatibility depends on the existing inverter and proposed battery. Retrofit options include a separate battery inverter, so replacing the entire solar system is not always necessary.
Will a battery keep my home running during a blackout?
Only if the system supports backup and is configured for it. The design determines which circuits can operate. Runtime depends on available charge and the appliances being used.

How Battery Storage Works
Our battery systems integrate seamlessly with your existing or new solar system. Excess energy generated during the day is stored and made available when solar production drops or demand increases.

Why Choose Solar Paradigm for Storage?

Energy Independence & Backup Power
Why do I need battery backup to be energy independent?
A home battery does not automatically provide backup power. Backup depends on the battery, inverter and switching equipment, and on which household circuits are connected for backup.
Most grid-connected solar systems switch off during a power outage to protect people working on the electricity network. A compatible backup system isolates the selected loads from the grid before supplying them.
We assess the appliances you want to run, their starting power and your available battery capacity. Lights, refrigeration and internet equipment have different requirements from air conditioning, electric cooking or an EV charger.
Backup duration depends on the battery charge available when the outage starts and the energy used by the connected appliances. Solar recharging during an outage also depends on the system design and equipment compatibility.
Your quote should identify the backup equipment, supported circuits and any limitations. Tell us which appliances matter most so we can assess the right arrangement for your home.
